CLINICAL & WELLNESS SERVICES ARE MORE THAN JUST A SERVICE
Dear Lifesaver,
Access to clinical and wellness care can be the turning point for someone rebuilding their life.
Meet Alicia, who faced a series of overwhelming challenges before joining the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC), including economic hardship, mental health struggles, and legal troubles.
As a single mother, she battled poverty, homelessness, and burnout despite her education and hard work as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. In 2021, Alicia found herself being indicted in a federal RICO case, Alicia deeply regretted the choices she had made to provide for her family. Her struggles with anxiety, insomnia, and guilt were compounded by past traumas, including the loss of her father and brother and the collapse of a significant relationship.
FINDING A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE
Upon joining ARC, Alicia found the support she needed through a life coach, access to mental health services, and renewed therapy, which allowed her to begin rebuilding her life with a focus on community, love, and healthier relationships.
