The THC manages 40 state historic sites, the Texas Heritage Trails Program, Texas Main Street Program, Historical Markers Program, and many more historic preservation and heritage tourism initiatives across the state.
Reminder: Act now to take advantage of early-bird savings of up to $155 on the Texas Historical Commission’s Real Places 2025 conference, online and in Austin, April 23–25.
Register through tomorrow, Friday, December 20, at midnight before prices increase.
Early-bird savings are for everyone—premium and basic registrants, students, Courthouse Stewards, single-day, workshops, and virtual. Additionally, the 10 percent discount for organizations registering multiple people at once applies to the early-bird rate (the first registrant pays the full early-bird rate, and each additional registration in the group is discounted by 10 percent).
Also, submit your applications ASAP! Scholarships and hotel room stipends are available to qualifying individuals and organizations, but the deadline to submit applications is also December 20.
Lastly, don’t forget that you can register now and pay later if you’re a government or nonprofit employee. Lock in the early-bird rate and pay later by selecting “please invoice me” on the payment page at the end of the registration process.
Don’t miss your chance to save! Real Places 2025 is the premier historic preservation and heritage tourism conference in the Lone Star State, presented by Phoenix 1 Restoration and Construction, LLC, in partnership with the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission.
