Where does your money go and what difference does it make?

John, this can't wait. Nature is in freefall – from our vital rainforests being set ablaze, to fragile marine ecosystems being decimated. The very fabric of our planet is being destroyed, and almost three-quarters of our wildlife has been wiped out in the past 50 years alone [1].

The challenges are huge, but we’re facing them head-on. We take action wherever nature is under threat, and we do it on a global scale.

It’s one of the things that makes me so proud to work here. In the five decades since it was founded, Greenpeace has grown into a worldwide movement of planet defenders. We’ve got boots on the ground everywhere – from the remote rainforests of the Amazon to the freezing waters of the Arctic.

But this is only possible because of people like you. We’re behind on our 2024 fundraising target and need 941 people to sign up by the end of the year. If we fall short, it could impact our nature campaigns for years to come. Will you join today and help keep our work going?

Yes, I'll join with a monthly contribution: [link removed]

And remember: if you’re one of the 941 people who sign up by the end of the year, your first monthly contribution will be matched by an anonymous supporter. Join today and double your impact!

We’ve got the tools we need to make a difference. Our fleet of ships sail across vast oceans to collect scientific evidence and help fight illegal fishing. Our planes fly over forests to reveal deforestation and logging. And our high-tech equipment (like drones and night vision cameras) helps our ground teams expose environmental crimes.

But all this costs money. And we don’t take any funding from businesses or governments – because we refuse to answer to corporate or political interests. Our financial independence allows us to speak truth to power without holding back.

That means we rely on people like you to keep our work going. Throughout 2024, Greenpeace supporters helped cover the cost of our ships, paid for expert investigations, and funded peaceful protests against some of the worst polluting companies. And as 2025 approaches, we can’t afford to slow down. The threats we’re facing are just too urgent.

John, our ecosystems are on the brink of collapse. Experts say humanity is on the verge of “shattering Earth’s natural limits” [2]. So will you please join our movement today? Together, we can take on the biggest threats to our planet – and win.

Thanks for being a planet defender, John. Your support means everything to us.
