Donald Trump is the first felon to become president, so it's only fitting that the first thing he does as president is to pardon hundreds of violent offenders!

He promised to pardon everybody who stormed the Capitol, attacked police, threatened to kill elected officials, tried to overthrow the government, and left five people dead on the January 6th insurrection.

Let's make this clear: Those in the violent mob that stormed the Capitol weren’t “patriots.” They were criminals who sought to overturn a free and fair election through violence and fear.

Pardoning them on Day One sends a terrifying message: political violence is acceptable, even rewarded, in America.

But Trump’s plans don’t stop there. He’s also vowed to jail the public servants who sought the truth about January 6 — brave leaders like Adam Schiff, Liz Cheney, and the members of the House Select Committee who defended democracy and held insurrectionists accountable.

This is not democracy - it's authoritarianism. And it must be stopped.
