It's been increasingly clear in recent weeks that most people across the United States are fed up with private health insurance companies and their endless greed. From being denied the care they need to ending up in massive amounts of medical debt, countless people are hurt by this industry in our country every day.
While this topic is at the forefront of people's minds, it's important that we spread the word that while the problems with our broken, for-profit health care system are broad, there IS a clear solution: Medicare for All.
We’re building a grassroots movement to replace private health insurance with a single-payer system that will improve the existing Medicare program and expand it to guarantee health care as a human right to everyone in the U.S. without premiums, co-pays, or deductibles.
To pass Medicare for All into law, we need to keep increasing public support. One way we can do this is by writing letters to the editor (LTEs) responding to articles in the news right now and explaining what Medicare for All is and why it's the best solution to fix our broken system.
