Dear John,

Less than two months ago, after extensive deliberations and in consultation with German authorities, we made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel AJC Global Forum 2020, which was to have taken place for the first time ever in Berlin.

Today, however, I write with happy news: the show is indeed going on – online!

I am delighted to announce that, for the first time in AJC history, we will be holding a Virtual Global Forum [link removed], which will take place during the same week we were scheduled to be together in Berlin – June 14-18, 2020!

This five-day online event will feature a moving opening plenary, conversations with world leaders, spirited debates, and the high-level content you have come to expect at an AJC Global Forum. Together, we will discuss the most important issues facing the Jewish people and the world, including the rise of antisemitism and other forms of hate in the era of the coronavirus, the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Israel’s quest for peace and security, and the future of the transatlantic relationship.

In the spirit of the times, and in order to make this one-of-a-kind event accessible to all, the full Virtual Global Forum [link removed] program will be available from the comfort of your home and free of charge. While we hope you will join us for the entire program, you may sign up for as many programs as you are able to attend virtually.

Please visit the AJC Virtual Global Forum 2020 webpage [link removed] and sign up to receive an update when registration opens for the various sessions.

I also invite you to follow AJC on Facebook [link removed] and Twitter [link removed], where we’ll be announcing speakers and sessions as they become public, and to use the official Virtual Global Forum hashtag, #AJCVirtualGloFo, to share the experience online.

You won’t want to miss this. I look forward to seeing you online June 14-18!

Warmly,

David Harris
