We’ve received hundreds of responses to our Official 2025 Priorities Survey from supporters from across the country, and I want to share some of the common thoughts and concerns we heard:
People said the issues they are most concerned about are Social Security, Medicare, voting rights, civil rights, and gun violence.
When talking about their concerns for the future, many people -- including David D., Constance C., and Sara T. -- said they were worried about the GOP’s threats to our democracy. Margaret R. and Carol C. mentioned the far-right Project 2025 plan for Trump’s Administration. And Lynette W. and Howard V. said they’re worried that the incoming White House Administration and Republican majorities will undo the progress Democrats have made over the past four years -- from lowering prescription costs to creating thousands of good-paying jobs.
I was pleased to hear that, like me, many of you are holding on to hope -- that will be essential in the coming years. Sandra S. said she hopes to see our country come together and overcome our extreme divisions. Jim U. said he hopes for a safe place for his children to live, grow, and thrive. And Norma V. said she hopes that in “four years Democrats take control of Congress and the presidency!”

I share in those hopes. I also share your concerns, and I understand that many are feeling discouraged by last month’s election results. As we look ahead to the new year and a new Trump Administration, we can’t afford to give up. We have a lot of work to do to reassess, regroup, and organize so we can move forward together, stronger than before. The first step is to hear from you, John.
Your thoughts and opinions are invaluable as we navigate the road ahead and prepare to stand strong against the worst impulses of the Trump Administration and the new GOP majorities in Congress.
The survey closes on December 31st, so please get your responses in as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Jim
