John, schools across the country are heading into their winter breaks. Students and staff are getting ready to rest up and spend time with loved ones.
At least that’s what we’d be doing in an ideal world. But here at Teachers Unify, we’re going to be using this time off from being in the classroom to focus on making classrooms safe for all children for good.
Just this week, another community faced a horrific event that no one should ever face, yet has become way too common. Our hearts are with the Madison community as they begin to grieve and face the challenging new normal ahead.
We’re sick of seeing headlines like the ones we’re seeing right now. We're sick of grieving families and traumatized kids.
But we can’t give up, because our children's safety depends on us continuing our fight.
Over winter break, we'll be planning for upcoming trainings that will help educators become effective advocates for safe schools and communities.
