Washington, DC -Today, Congressman Van Drew shared that the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) did not vote on Atlantic City Electric's (ACE) proposal for a rate increase at their meeting today. The vote on the 8% rate hike request will now take place in April during a meeting open to the public.
"While the vote is delayed until early next year, it is more important now than ever that we keep the pressure on the NJBPU to show them that a rate increase is not in the best interest of our residents," said Congressman Van Drew. "In the meantime, I remain fully committed to advocating for our community and ensuring that utility costs remain fair and affordable for everyone. I will keep you informed with any new details on the upcoming vote."
