Protect Ohio's Funding for Prevention Recently, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that he is cutting $775 million from the state budget in the next two months to make up for the loss in revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. These cuts will likely lead into a very conservative budget next year which will make our fight to preserve/increase prevention funding a harder one even in the face of the fact that prevention needs support in light of the fact that the current COVID-19 pandemic is worsening people's mental health. In preparation for this fight Prevention Action Alliance is currently developing tools to use in our advocacy for prevention. An important part of that toolkit is hearing from you! You all are the experts on the ground doing the work necessary to keep our communities healthy. Please fill out the survey below so that we know how the pandemic has affected the work that you do, and what you want us to advocate for. The survey is open to all prevention professionals in Ohio and will close next Wednesday on May 27th. It should take no more than 10 minutes to fill out. Everyone has a role in prevention, and this is your opportunity to add your voice to our fight to save prevention funding. Take the Survey ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Share this email with your friends! ‌ ‌ ‌ Questions?
