I grew up in a working-class family, and I raised my own young family while working during the day and going to school at night—struggling to make ends meet.
These experiences helped me learn an important lesson: We know how to use our paychecks better than the government does.
That’s why I’ll always champion commonsense tax reform that allows North Carolinians like you to keep more of your hard-earned money. I’ll fight for legislation that lowers the tax burden on both families and businesses—because when we all succeed, our economy thrives.
My colleagues on the Left peddle talking points that demonize businesses, painting a picture of insatiable corporate greed. But you and I know better. Business owners—big and small—are job creators.
I can’t wait until the new year, when I’ll be working with President Trump to not only extend the Trump tax cuts, but expand on them.
