*What is accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility?*
In Kitsap County, hazardous products cannot go in the trash or recycling or be poured down the drain. Products labeled with the words "danger, caution, flammable, warning, toxic, poison, or combustible" require special disposal to protect human health and the environment. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility accepts these items from Kitsap, Mason, and Jefferson County households at no charge and from businesses by appointment.
Kitsap County will open a new hazardous waste collection facility in North Kitsap in 2025 or 2026. Visit our project page [ [link removed] ] to learn more.
