Our allies in Congress face attacks from party extremes for daring to work across the aisle. Let them know we have their backs.
Hi John,
Last week, more than two dozen members of Congress joined our movement at the Mayflower Hotel for the No Labels National Meeting. These lawmakers came from both sides of the aisle and from both chambers of Congress, and each had something different to talk about, from Sen. Bill Cassidy’s discussion on saving Social Security to Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s urging of her colleagues to simply listen to their constituents to hear what their real concerns are.
We are so grateful that these members have chosen to stand with the commonsense majority as we prepare for the new Congress. Doing so does not come without a cost.
Any member who has the courage to work across the aisle to solve problems is subject to relentless attacks from the extremes of their parties. That is why so few members do so, and why our allies who do should be commended. Today, we are calling on our community to share their support and let them know we have their back.
Please take a moment to visit any or all of Facebook pages of our congressional allies and thank them for their commitment to bring power to the middle.
Together, we can send a clear message that our movement will stand with any leader who is willing to put country over party and find solutions to the challenges we face.
Thanks for doing your part.
Liz Morrison
