WASHINGTON, DC — Today at 3:00 p.m. EST, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman-elect Adriano Espaillat will host a roundtable addressing the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Housing and Financial Services policies.

Today's roundtable will explore how AI innovations intersect with key stakeholder concerns and challenges in financial services, with an emphasis on fostering equity and opportunity for Latino communities. This roundtable marks the latest installment of Espaillat's continued AI series bringing together diverse voices to address challenges and opportunities in AI-driven advancements in housing affordability, financial inclusion, and sustainable community development.
The first AI roundtable, led by Espaillat, brought together key leaders to discuss the critical impact of AI technology, including AI biases and discrimination, as well as benefits such as use of the technology to prevent fraud, remove language access barriers, increase workforce outflow and engagement, and AI deployment across small business, agriculture, and education sectors.
“AI has the potential to revolutionize our society, but it must be developed and implemented responsibly," stated Espaillat. "Our discussions set the foundation for an inclusive AI future that addresses the unique needs of Latino communities while emphasizing U.S. AI competitiveness, AI science, workforce issues, and managing national AI policies initiatives."

Representative Espaillat is the first Dominican American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and his congressional district includes Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill and the north-west Bronx.
