@RecorderDannyO: **Important** It is with great disappointment that I share that the Veteran Photo-ID Cards issued by Ohio County Recorders’ Offices appear to no longer be considered eligible forms of voter ID. This change is part of the new voter ID law, HB 458, signed into law on 1/6/23. [[link removed]]
Ohio counties are grappling with the impact of their voter suppression law that enacts stringent voter identification laws.
Franklin County, home to the state capitol of Columbus and more than a million Ohioans, is among the counties that has announced that they're no longer able to accept veterans photo ID cards issued by the county as proof for voting because of Ohio's law.

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
