Earlier this month, the Department of Justice announced that a dentist from Tampa, Florida, was found guilty of threatening public figures, including Jena. The threats were violent, racist, and misogynistic.

Since the 2020 election, Jena and some other election officials across the country have received threats from extremists. These threats to try to intimidate election officials are unacceptable. Jena will not be intimidated. We are thankful that the Justice Department, FBI, and law enforcement take these threats seriously.

Jena will remain committed to Coloradans and our democracy.
