Yesterday, we launched our End-of-Year Campaign with a warning that Donald Trump’s presidency is an existential threat to the entire progressive movement.

This is not hyperbole.

Trump’s pick for FBI director, Kash Patel, has published an enemies list of activists and journalists he wants to prosecute. Republicans in Congress are scrambling to give Trump broad new powers to strip the tax-exempt nonprofit status of any organization that dares to criticize him.

Every time we publish a story criticizing Trump, every time we speak out against his agenda, we will be putting ourselves squarely in the crosshairs.

We must be prepared for the costly legal fights we could face and stand with every other progressive voice that is attacked.
