John,
From day one as Governor of Maryland, I set out to be the best public servant I can be. To govern with humility and grace.
If there is one thing I have learned as governor, it is that everyone has a story — including myself.
After my father passed away when I was young, I was raised by my mother and the help of the surrounding community. I learned that you are only as strong as the people that surround you.
I ended up joining the Army after earning my associate’s degree from Valley Forge Military Academy and College. It was the start of a long path toward public servitude.
In 2006, my career was jumpstarted as I became a White House fellow. I later started working in the private sector, working for a variety of charitable organizations. All of this was to give back to the communities I know well and have helped me in the past.
This all led to my decision to run for office in 2021. After volunteering for so many years and working to make a difference, I knew the time was now to step up.
After being elected in 2022, I have spent the last several years doing everything I can to govern with open ears and continue to give back to the community. I am working every day, alongside my team, to fight for a better Maryland for all of us.
It’s my mission to make this Maryland’s decade. But, this is a mission that I can’t do without the support of our grassroots community. That’s why I’m humbly asking for you to make a contribution today to support our work in making Maryland the best state it can be. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. [[link removed]]
