Folks,

I am reaching out to update you on an urgent issue. The U.S. Postal Service is in danger of running out of money.

This would be a disaster for our country. The USPS employs more than 600,000 Americans who are responsible for the delivery of services and goods across the nation — including life-saving medications — and it plays a pivotal role in our elections with the delivery of mail-in ballots.

We must act fast to save the USPS before it’s too late.

The existence of the USPS is in our Constitution and is a service to the American public.

But the Trump Administration has made it clear that they are willing to play partisan games with this critical American institution, with the appointment of a partisan donor, who has given millions to Trump and the GOP over the years, as the new postmaster general in charge of the USPS.

Allowing the USPS to become defunct would be yet another complete failure of leadership.

That’s why I am joining my Democratic colleagues across the country in demanding action to protect the USPS.
