This is ridiculous.
As American workers, families, and small businesses continue to struggle in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Cindy Hyde-Smith and the GOP are stalling on passing more relief.

In fact, Hyde-Smith admitted herself that they would not “get close” to passing another relief bill “until June,” despite the fact that Democrats just passed a sweeping package in the House.

Here in Mississippi, we simply can’t wait until Hyde-Smith takes her Memorial Day vacation.

Small businesses are burning through savings, with 70% of Mississippi businesses surveyed saying they expect losses over the next 30-60 days. Local governments are already in the red, and those who’ve actually been accepted for unemployment are still struggling to get by on just $235 in benefits a week.

With unemployment expected to continue to rise and a lot of other uncertainty, we need the federal government to act NOW — not in a month or more.

This further goes to show why we need a leader like Mike Espy in the Senate fighting for the needs of every American.
