Team --

Donald Trump and his administration have used this pandemic to prop up big corporations and line their pockets -- all at the expense of workers across the country. Let us explain.

Powerful corporations have used their special-interest money and influence to lobby the President into reopening meatpacking plants affected by coronavirus outbreaks across the country, despite the fact that they've been identified as major hotspots for the spread of COVID-19.

Instead of coming to the aid of these workers, Trump took immediate action to put corporations above their health and safety -- proving once again that he is fundamentally unable to put American workers ahead of maximizing profits.

But our food system was not broken by the pandemic. It was broken by large, multinational corporations like Tyson, Smithfield, and JBS that, because of their buying power and size, have undue influence over the marketplace, over public policy, and who are hurting small, family farmers.

That's why Cory introduced the Farm System Reform Act with Senator Elizabeth Warren to phase out factory farming in our country.

This bill could save lives, livelihoods, and bring an end to the powerful influence major corporations have over our farming industry. Add your name to join Cory Booker and Elizabeth Warren's calls to end the practice of putting corporate interests above the health and safety of our communities.

More than anything, this global pandemic has magnified the problems our country was already facing. It's on us to demand our leaders take the necessary steps to fix them.

That's why your voice is so important in this fight.
