Right before the election we hosted a rally for the 2024 open primary campaigns on the ballot – 500 people from 47 states attended. It was a powerful event that opened our eyes. At one point in the discussion we asked our participants: "why do we need open primaries in this country?" 

We were flooded with responses. Here's some of what people shared with us in response: 

We know voters across the country feel strongly about the need for change–and it’s our role as leaders to take those real feelings and build a real movement working on behalf of all voters to make the structural changes that finally address our uncompetitive and unfair elections. 

But it’s not easy–organizing millions of voters across the country to go from “supporting open primaries” to “getting to work opening the primaries” is a tall order. It’s going to take years of thoughtful, aggressive, inspired and creative outreach. And we’re ready for it. 

Over the next two years we’re committing to: 

• Develop strong spokespeople, leadership and campaigns. 
• Foster ballot measures/initiatives. 
• Pursue lawsuits and litigation challenging the taxpayer funding of public elections that exclude millions of voters. 
• Champion the 2026 Oklahoma ballot campaign. 
• Build an army of independent voters and mobilize them to protest their exclusion on primary day 2026. 
• Support legislative efforts in multiple states. 
• Defend open primaries from legislators who prefer a closed system. 

We need serious resources to make any of this possible. Big goals require big investment. I want to ask you today to invest in our organizing efforts in 2025-2026. Can you come on board right now?
