In 2018, Democrats won CA-25 with just 54.4% of the vote -- flipping one of the last Republican strongholds in the deep-blue state and helping to secure our House majority.
Democratic Assemblywoman Christy Smith fought hard to hold this seat against outside groups desperate to take this swing-district back and a Republican opponent who President Trump personally rooted for on Twitter. But the GOP came out on top.
This loss is a major warning that Frontline Democrats like Sean -- and our House majority -- are in danger this November. We can’t take anything for granted -- will you chip in to our people-powered campaign to make sure we have the resources to defend this battleground seat?
