We still have to show up for ourselves.

With multiple genocides going on around the world (not to
mention toxic capitalism, rising fascism, endless violence,
climate catastrophe, etc), it can feel unreasonable to take care
of ourselves. In moments like these I am quick to abandon
myself, to label self care as selfish, to let the shame of my
privilege override my dignity and wellbeing.

But in the midst of crisis and chaos, finding refuge and renewal
is essential to staying committed and courageous in our work. We
are no good to anything or anyone burned out and beat down. How
we take care of ourselves and each other in this moment is going
to determine what is possible in the next.

Our practice gives us the tools, a shared language, brave spaces
and internal resources to confront some of the most difficult
issues of our time and to work to create the conditions of
wellbeing for everyone. This is not a time to turn away from
practice but to turn towards it to strengthen and sustain our
solidarity.

For over five years, I have led and participated in EMERGE
New Year’s Home Retreat ( [link removed] ) , a community of practice designed to support you in
transitioning into the new year with power and precision. This
container has been especially helpful in navigating the
increasing complexity of these times and locating myself and my
best contribution to the work of collective change and
liberation.

EMERGE ( [link removed] ) is a powerful
journey, grounded in community, and resourced by daily movement
practices, provocative journaling prompts, visioning tools and
resources and live coaching calls with Kerri and community to
help you navigate whatever is in the way of unleashing
imagination and possibility.

And the best part is that you design your retreat schedule. Set
aside a few hours a day for practice, reflection and visioning.
And once per day we'll meet up on a live video call (5pm EST)
with other emerging leaders from around the world to support one
another on this path to what's next.

🔥 Join us for this powerful community of practice to ring in the
new year (and detox the old)

📅 December 28th, 2024 - January 1st, 2025

🌳 Sliding scale payments. DM for add'l financial support.

Hope to see you there,
