I recently came back from Somalia — and keep thinking about Maryamrun, an IRC community health worker who spends every day helping children facing starvation.
"No one can ignore a child who is in pain," Maryamrum said to me. "We feel the pain a child goes through. We comfort the mothers and think about ways to calm them down..."
