This election season we fought hard. We organized, we knocked on doors. We made calls and gave our time and energy. And even though we lost, we made important gains in Georgia, and in many states we enshrined our rights.
We are allowed to feel how we need to feel — but we also have to pick ourselves up and get back to work. This community will have an important role to play as we face another Trump administration and threats to our democracy.

The legislative session will be starting soon in Georgia, which means we need to keep an eye on MAGA-extremists, and on Voter Suppressor-in-Chief, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.
I know we have the capacity to move forward once again. It may be on the state level; it may even have to begin on the local level. We will only advance if we take all elections seriously and go to the voting booth thinking about the collective good of our country, because voting is our voice.
