As I prepare for the holidays, I’ve also been working to close the books on 2024 and prepare for the incoming administration in January.

It goes without saying that a Republican trifecta poses severe risks to Social Security and Medicare, reproductive rights nationwide, and so much more. But I don’t panic, I plan. We’re facing a challenging few years and our ability to protect our communities depends on what we do now.

The election may be over, but the work to fight back against Republican extremism in Congress and make real progress for our communities has just begun. Before the year ends, we’re committed to building a Defense Fund to prepare us for the next few years of a Trump administration and set the foundation for 2026 victories. When the second Trump administration is sworn in on January 20th, I’m going to need every spare minute working to navigate the challenges–to our freedoms, to the environment, and to the rule of law. The more I raise now, the less time I’ll have to spend fundraising, and the more time I can commit to protecting us and our communities.
