John,
When Donald Trump first ran for President, he promised to keep his hands off Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid:
Yet his first move once he took office in 2017 was to attempt to dismantle Medicaid while repealing the Affordable Care Act. (And he proposed cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security with every budget).
Now that Trump is heading back to the White House, he’s planning a $4.6 trillion tax giveaway to the wealthy and corporations (on top of the $2 trillion handout he passed the last time around).
And Republicans are signaling that cuts to Medicaid are all but certain to be how they pay for it.
Tell your members of Congress: Hands off Medicaid!
While Republicans are hiding behind Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s Slash & Burn Commission to cut Social Security & Medicare, they are willing to be less sneaky with Medicaid.
That’s why they’re likely to sneak massive Medicaid cuts into this tax bill, to hide the total price tag.
Tell Congress: Don’t cut Medicaid, especially not to pay for tax cuts to the rich!
Thank you,
