Yesterday, a school shooting irrevocably changed a small Madison, WI, community and owe it to the families of the victims and the survivors to take action to stop the next tragedy. Our children deserve to feel safe going to school and our lawmakers can make that a reality. [[link removed]]

This is an absolutely unacceptable reality for our kids and our country,John.
Yesterday’s tragic shooting in Madison, WI, was the 83rd school shooting this year alone. That makes 2024 the deadliest year for school shootings since 2008.
Our children deserve to feel safe in their schools, not constantly fear being gunned down.
Yet far too many lawmakers will only offer thoughts and prayers but their moments of silence in the face of tragedy are not acceptable when our kids are constantly under attack. We need life-saving action and we need it now .
Please, John, will you join me in demanding action from our lawmakers to stop school shootings and protect our children? Add your name to Brady’s urgent petition right now >> [[link removed]]
As a gun violence survivor, I know the indescribable suffering that families who lost loved ones yesterday are experiencing and the grief that will follow them for years to come. It’s a reality I wish no one else ever had to face. But if our lawmakers only offer thoughts and prayers, our children will remain at risk and families will continue to face unimaginable heartbreak.
I can’t accept that and I know you won’t either, John.
It’s up to us to demand life-saving action from our lawmakers at this critical moment and try our hardest to stop the next tragedy. Please, send a clear and urgent message to lawmakers now: It’s time to take action to stop school shootings and save our children.
