Dear Friend,
Thank you for joining us for our statewide call last night. Together, we affirmed the power of our movement to protect democracy, build progressive leadership, and fight for policies that support working families across Maryland.
We were inspired by Sulma Arias, Executive Director of People’s Action, and Will Jawando, Montgomery County Councilmember, who spoke about hope, resilience, and the path forward after the national election results. They reminded us that our movement has weathered storms before, and we must continue to organize for a better future. Jonathan Briggs (Prince George’s Board of Education Chair) also shared the critical role of electing progressive leaders and how programs like the Maryland People’s Leadership Institute (MPLI) are pivotal in that effort.
