Hi John,
Here’s the message you can hammer into the new finance minister: STOP WASTING MONEY AND BALANCE THE BUDGET.
And this is a key moment to send that message.
Former finance minister Chrystia Freeland just quit and Dominic LeBlanc took over the job.
Why did Freeland say she resigned in protest? Because the Trudeau government is wasting your money on “costly political gimmicks, which we can ill afford.”
Thousands of supporters like you hammered Freeland’s office over and over again for wasting your money. Now even Freeland agrees the Trudeau government is wasting too much money.
And the numbers don’t lie. The government promised to keep the deficit below $40.1 billion. They called that limit a fiscal guardrail.
But last year’s deficit was $62 billion, according to newly released numbers.
Think about what that means. The Trudeau government just drove right through its own fiscal guardrail. The finance minister resigned in protest. Federal spending is dangerously out of control.
The new finance minister, Dominic LeBlanc, has a choice. He can keep spending spinning out of control. Or he can try to turn things around.
You made Freeland worry about waste and deficits – now you need to hammer LeBlanc.
LeBlanc will be getting an earful from government bureaucrats, lobbyists and the prime minister’s office. It’s a good bet they will all be telling LeBlanc to keep spending and run huge deficits.
But LeBlanc has one job to do: CUT SPENDING AND BALANCE THE BUDGET!
Tens of thousands of Canadian Taxpayers Federation supporters are already taking action. Are you ready to get off the bench and join them?
The first step for you to join the fight is to sign the PETITION to stop Trudeau’s debt.
Will you sign the PETITION?
The government is borrowing too much money and wasting too much money on debt interest charges.
Soaring government debt is unaffordable for taxpayers and it’s wrong to leave our kids and grandkids with the bills.
We, the undersigned, call on the federal government to stop racking up debt.
