We are mobilizing to resist and respond to Trump’s planned mass deportations and other unanticipated events. To effectively accomplish our mission of fighting back, we are working to secure the resources we need to establish a specialized, holistic rapid response team, comprised of litigators, legal and social service providers, organizers, advocates, and communications professionals, who will mobilize to act quickly and decisively to mitigate the harm caused by the onslaught of enforcement actions we expect in the new year. We will do this work in close partnership with our local allies, and plan to focus on areas of the country where the risk of raids is high and local communities are already under resourced. This integrated and coordinated response will help ensure that: Organizers can quickly mobilize community support and resources. Immigration lawyers are available to provide triage and case assessment. Social service providers are available to offer crucial support services to affected families and communities. Impact litigators have the capacity to develop federal civil rights litigation challenging unconstitutional actions. Advocates and communications professionals work alongside impacted individuals and raise awareness about the widespread, harmful impact that mass deportations and other enforcement measures will have on all of us.
Under Trump's rule, our communities will face the constant threat of raids and deportations, leading to a pervasive sense of fear and insecurity. This rapid response team will be an essential component in our fight to defend and uphold the rights of immigrants and their loved ones and ensure a sense of safety and stability for the people we serve. We won’t be able to stand up this rapid response initiative without the support of allies like you. Make a donation today to directly support our rapid response work — so we can act quickly and effectively in the face of Trump's relentless assault on immigrant communities.
