*Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez* are using the internet and the media to lead on issue after issue. Not coincidentally, both are now facing corporate-friendly challengers to their reelection.
If we lose these two women from Congress, the proposals, debates, and final policies coming out of Congress will all be deeply impoverished.

*Rashida and Alexandria are leading the way* on efforts to protect people, not corporate profits, during the current crisis. One might think that helping everyone would go without saying - but these Congresswomen have had to struggle to squeeze out support for workers, for health workers, for the houseless, for undocumented tax payers, for minority populations disproportionately impacted, for prisoners.
*The debate in Congress happens between the most rightwing racist corporate position and the proposals of Rashida and AOC* for a jobs guarantee, Medicare For All, rent and mortgage assistance, the creation of a new civil service corps, the protection of clean drinking water, the preservation of the U.S. Postal Service, the establishment of voting by mail, and the holding of corporations like Amazon accountable.
Without these two women in Congress, we would lose leading voices against mass incarceration, in support of labor organizing, and in favor of reversing the policies that drive climate collapse.
AOC and Rashida have been denouncing Trump's lies and the behavior of corporate media airing them. They've been opposing Wall Street bailouts, seeking a moratorium on big corporate mergers, and opposing civil liberties violations and all the abuses of *Coronavirus Capitalism*.
