During the campaign, when I’d talk about the strike, I’d make one thing clear: I like working. I start climbing the walls when I don’t have something to do. I think most of us are the same. We want fair pay for a fair day’s work.
So it’s something of a relief to start back this week at Grunwald, providing quality HVAC and plumbing services in Omaha. I spent much of the campaign working full 40-60 hour weeks and campaigning on the side, and expect more of the same over the next two years.
But it also is a reminder of how crazy it is that just 2% of our representatives in Congress come from the working class. A majority of this country works paycheck to paycheck. Our politicians don’t know what that’s like, and they act accordingly – bankrupting this country with handouts to millionaires, billionaires, and special interests who have bought up Washington, one politician at a time.
We started the Working Class Heroes Fund to recruit and support other candidates from America’s working class in 2026. As we saw in November, this country is desperate for change, and there are districts all across America that can be won by strong working-class candidates.
Please consider supporting the fund as we build a strong slate of working-class candidates across America.
Yours,
Dan Osborn
