Lila was born at a factory farm, a place where compassion is scarce and suffering is constant.
Separated from her mother just weeks after birth, Lila faced a life of cruelty from the start. She endured painful mutilations, like teeth and tail clipping, without pain relief. Her siblings, deemed unprofitable, were discarded like garbage.
Once old enough, Lila was forcibly impregnated and confined to a metal cage barely larger than her body. She spent months on a cold, damp floor, her skin raw and covered in painful sores. Each litter of piglets was torn away from her within weeks.
Years of this relentless cycle broke her body and spirit. When she produced smaller litters and could no longer meet the industry's profit demands, her fate was sealed.
Inside a cold room, Lila trembled in fear. A worker raised a captive-bolt gun to her head and pulled the trigger. The impact was searing, but it didn't end her suffering. Again and again, he pulled the trigger until she drew her last breath, leaving behind a world that had shown her nothing but cruelty.
