Indivisibles,
A few weeks ago we released [ [link removed] ]our new guide, “Indivisible: A Guide to
Democracy on the Brink.”
We know that a lot of people woke up stunned, scared, and angry on
November 6 wondering, “What now?” This guide is our attempt to answer that
question -- to provide basic strategies and first steps that anyone can
take to stand up against authoritarianism and protect our communities from
Trump 2.0.
Of course we know that it’s not enough to simply say, “Here’s a Google
Doc, go out there and save our democracy.” That’s why we founded
Indivisible eight years ago -- to provide support for all the groups that
sprang up practically overnight and all the activists looking for ways to
join the fight after we released our first Indivisible Guide in 2016.
So now that this new guide has been in your hands for a few weeks, we’d
love to hear from you. [ [link removed] ]Tell us what you need to make this guide
actionable, and to feel prepared to take on the incoming Trump
administration 34 days from now.
[ [link removed] ]Take Our 1-Question Survey
If you’re brand new to Indivisible or just haven’t had a chance to read
the document yet, no worries: [ [link removed] ]You can find the Indivisible Guide here.
We’ll keep our survey open for a few weeks to give folks time to read,
absorb, and respond.
People asked for a grayscale version to make it easy to print, so we made
one. People asked for an audio version, so we’re working on that. Today
we’re asking, what else could you use to make the guide more useful? If
you’re thinking of joining an Indivisible group, what could help you take
the leap? If you’re thinking of starting a group, what resources could
help you make that decision?
If this is your first foray into political activism, are there big
knowledge gaps that are making you feel nervous about engaging? (Trust us
when we say, you do NOT need to be an expert in policy/government to get
involved -- there are elected officials that couldn’t pass a high school
civics class -- but if there are topics we can demystify, let us know).
We’ve created a lot of great resources and trainings over the years, and
your responses will help us determine what to update, what to circulate
more, and what to create from scratch.

Thanks in advance for being generous with your ideas so that we can serve
this movement better.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
P.S. -- Here’s one new training we’ve already created: “Continuing your
Activism: Start or Join an Indivisible Group.” We’re hosting it live on
Zoom TONIGHT at 8pm ET/5pm PT. [ [link removed] ]If you’re interested in learning more
about what groups do and how to join, register here.
