Together, over the past year we have: - Mobilized parents across the country to help on campaigns to end flavored tobacco sales in Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington. And in localities in Colorado, Georgia, Maine, Missouri, and Ohio. We provided testimony and sent in dozens of letters of support to counteract tobacco industry influence and strengthen enforcement mechanisms for states that already end the sale of flavored tobacco
- Worked with PAVe adult and youth volunteers who gave interviews, wrote letters to the editor and participated in efforts for national and local media across the country. They participated in panel discussions, presented at national conferences, gave critical testimony to help pass bills, and participated in videos for the World Health Organization
- Engaged in efforts to thwart industry attempts to introduce new and particularly dangerous methods of ingredient manufacturing, all with the intent to develop increasingly addictive e-cigarette products targeted to youth
- Worked at the federal level to stem the influx of foreign e-cigarettes into the U.S. market
- Launched our Clear the Vapor Conversations series - a series which convened researchers, public health advocates, and leading experts as they participated in informative discussions and answered your questions. In total, we held four events which attracted over 5,000 registrants
- Conducted nearly 65 educational and training events, reaching thousands of parents, educators, and other adult stakeholders. We connected with them virtually and also in person in California, Kentucky, Georgia, New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, and Florida
We've accomplished a lot in the past six years, but there is still so much more to do. Parents Against Vaping relies on contributions to continue our critical work. For this reason, we are asking you to consider making a donation to help us continue the fight to protect our kids! Any amount is greatly appreciated.
