My name is Janine Jackson. I’m FAIR’s program director, and producer and host of our radio show CounterSpin. We’re in the middle of our year-end fundraiser, with a critical goal of $150,000. We’re about a quarter of the way there.

My favorite thing about working at FAIR and producing CounterSpin, and the reason I'm here after 30 years, is that every day there are folks who are new to the idea that they can and should question what news media tell them, but that doesn't mean giving up on the world. At CounterSpin, we look to highlight people and groups who are doing the very things corporate media say aren’t happening, or couldn’t happen. I think of it as criticism in the service of hope.
