Transit is more than just a great way to travel. Great transportation connects communities to the resources they need and deserve. Public transportation gives individuals and families access to jobs, food, school and work, and healthy environments. With the looming funding deficit, public transit in San Francisco and the Bay Area is in grave danger.

It is SFTR’s main priority in the coming year to find permanent and equitable funding for our transit agencies, so that no San Franciscan is left behind due to budget and service cuts. By investing in public transit, we invest in our communities, we invest in our growing economy, we invest in a clean environment, and we invest in each other.
