Friends, I want to write to you today as an organizer, because when people ask me how we're going to win this election, the first thing I tell them is just that -- organizing.

And there's nothing more important to me, to this campaign, and to Vice President Biden than all of you. So I hope you'll let me share with you our path to victory today, and then if you can afford it, but only if you can afford it today, I hope you'll pitch in $5 to fund our strategy to elect Joe Biden.

Our race is centered on an exceptional candidate. Voters are looking for steady leadership, experience, empathy, compassion, and character -- and they'll find all of these qualities in Vice President Joe Biden. This has been our argument since day one of this campaign, and it will be our winning argument in November.

Our message to folks has been clear since we launched. We're going to restore the soul of America, unify this country, and rebuild the backbone of our nation. As we continue this race, we will continue to make our message clear and communicate the VP's plans to address these issues with an urgency that meets this moment.

And our most powerful tool in winning this election is you. You may have been with VP Biden since day one, or you may have just joined us, but, either way, we're so glad that you're here. Here's a look at how you and millions of your fellow Team Joe supporters are powering this campaign:

--97% of all of our donations have come from grassroots supporters like you
--87% of our donors have given less than $200
--Our average online donation is $29

I'm pretty damn proud of those numbers, and I'm so grateful for the team of grassroots supporters that made it happen. Without your support, we wouldn't be able to do the work that we do.

So I know you may not be able to donate today because times are tough, and frankly, there are a lot of good uses of your hard-earned money, but if you can invest it in this campaign today, it's a worthwhile investment. So I have to ask:

If you're able to pitch in today to fuel our work to elect Joe Biden and defeat Donald Trump, will you chip in $5 -- or even our average online donation of $29 -- and join our team of grassroots donors?

These donations have and are continuing to help us to build a broad, inclusive coalition of folks to win in November.

We saw record turnout in Virginia, North Carolina, and Arizona's primaries. We beat 24 candidates in a crowded primary where we were being outspent nearly 20 to 1. And we earned endorsements from 17 former Democratic candidates, who are actively campaigning to help build this movement.

And your support will continue to fund our path to winning the 270 electoral college votes we need to beat Donald Trump. Take a look at this map:

Here's what I see when I look at this graphic. We have a map with more paths to victory for Joe Biden than Donald Trump, and these highlighted states are our path to winning the 270 electoral college votes we need to win. Recent polling shows Vice President Biden already has an early lead over Donald Trump in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona.

We're going to win these states by bringing together a massive coalition of voters across the country -- The Biden Coalition. We need to bring everyone on board, including young voters, African-American and Latino voters, suburban voters, working-class voters, college-educated voters, women voters, and disaffected voters.

And we're going to do that by showing a strong contrast between VP Biden and Donald Trump. Take a look at these numbers.

62% of Americans believe that Trump did not take the coronavirus threat seriously enough, but 51% of Americans believe Joe Biden has the experience our country needs in a President during a crisis.

Only 38% of Americans believe that Trump would handle helping the middle class better, but 57% of Americans believe VP Biden would.

56% of Americans disapprove of the way Trump is handling his job as President, but 55% of Americans believe VP Biden can help heal and unify the nation.
All of these numbers add up to one thing: This election is a referendum on Trump. So, we've got to build an operation that fits the scale of our task and can operate in our new normal.

We're doing that by hiring diverse senior leadership across all departments, doubling the size of our digital team, and bringing more than 600 organizing staff on board in June.

If that sounds like a lot, that's because it is. And it's going to take an enormous amount of grassroots support to ensure that we can continue to virtually campaign and earn every single vote. That's where you come in.

We're not taking a single voter for granted, and we have a plan to engage with folks through strategic programming that includes our national programming, our state programming, advertising, earned media, and organic content. But it's going to be expensive to make sure our message reaches every voter.

I know these are unprecedented times, and it's not easy to give your hard-earned dollars to a presidential candidate right now. So I want to be clear that it's 100% okay if today isn't the right time for you to give.

But to the folks who are able to give, I want to emphasize that we're only going to be able to execute the strategy I've just laid out through support from folks like you. And if it makes sense for you today, I hope you can chip in.

So, if you can pitch in anything at all today -- whether that's $5, our online average of $29, or whatever you can spare -- please chip in:

And lastly, I want to say thank you for everything you do for this campaign. You are the most essential part of this movement, and I'm so grateful to have you on this team and proud to stand with you as we continue this fight to restore the soul of our nation.

I'm looking forward to the work we're going to accomplish together. And to the day we're going to win this thing.

All my best,

Jen
