The economy was a top-ticket issue for many Philadelphians and Americans. And no matter who people voted for in November's election — I doubt the average American voted for:
- Tax cuts for the wealthiest and biggest corporations
- Cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid
- A repeal of the $35 monthly cap on the cost of insulin for Medicare beneficiaries
- A Trump tax (‘tariff’) that could raise prices by 20% or more
These changes would set our economy and our communities back. Yet, Republicans are still considering all of these harmful measures under the watchful eyes of billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
John: While control of the White House and Congress will change in 2025, my commitment to lowering costs and prices for Philadelphians and defending access to tax fairness remains.
