Email from Arlington Community Foundation The Wish Catalog closes Dec. 31. Currently 18 wishes fully funded and over $100,000 raised for local nonprofits! Child & Youth Development With just 2 weeks left to contribute to the Nonprofit Holiday Wish Catalog, your sharing and support has helped fully fund 18 nonprofit year-end wishes! With more than 25 nonprofit wishes still in need of funding, there are plenty of opportunities to make the season bright for our local nonprofits, including these 7 organizations serving our children and youth. 703 Warriors 703 Warriors is a volunteer-run organization committed to empowering underserved youth through free, accessible soccer and life skills programs. Thanks to our volunteers, in our first year alone, we impacted nearly 400 kids. Support this wish Center for Youth and Family Advocacy CYFA uses collective impact, restorative practices, education, and advocacy to transform systems and create sustainable conditions for children, youth, and families to thrive in safe and healthy communities. Support this wish Girls on the Run Northern Virginia When you give to Girls on the Run of NOVA this holiday season, you help support core 5K costs like medals and bibs, and essential safety expenses, like police, so that the only thing our girls have to focus on is setting that goal and meeting it! Support this wish Latinas Leading Tomorrow Your generous donation will help support the launch of a new school-based Creating Opportunities to Reach Excellence (CORE) afterschool program at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, empowering Latina students by providing them with essential tools for success. Support this wish Lutheran College Washington Consortium Provide scholarships for students with unpaid internships at nonprofit organizations in Arlington. Not all students can afford to take unpaid internships, so these scholarships provide support and peace of mind for students with financial need. Support this wish Phoenix Bikes Phoenix Bikes harnesses the power of bikes to help youth build passion, purpose, and a place in the community. Our wish is to fund two afterschool bike clubs, teaching teens how to fix bikes and enabling them to earn their own bikes for free! Support this wish Yorktown Crew Boosters Provide Yorktown High School rowers with scholarship support for 1 spring registration and 1 spring training camp registration, making the sport of crew more accessible to our students which provides them with chances for personal growth and athletic excellence.
