We all need the support of others. We all want to feel loved, accepted, and cared for.
This is especially true for members of our community, like 2SLGBTQI young people, who may feel like they have no one in their corner.
Egale, alongside Skipping Stone and several families in Alberta, have initiated litigation against the Government of Alberta – challenging Bill 26 which denies gender diverse youth essential medical care.
Young people
deserve the right to the health care and medical support that they need:
“I know first-hand how damaging it can be to not be accepted for who you are. I am proud and humbled to be leading Egale’s legal efforts to ensure that rights of 2SLGBTQI people throughout Canada – and in particular vulnerable 2SLGBTQI youth – are defended.
Our work has never been more critical and is impossible without your support.”
- Bennett Jensen, Director of Legal at Egale Canada
By donating on your own behalf or in honour of someone you love*, you’re helping us to continue to fight for 2SLGBTQI rights – so that
everyone can feel the acceptance that they deserve.
Today, stand with 2SLGBTQI young people in Alberta and across Canada, and give the greatest gift of all: the gift of belonging.
And don’t forget – thanks to the generous support of The Canadian Tilling Foundation and an anonymous donor, the first $10,000 in donations will be matched, doubling your impact! |
