Coronavirus lockdowns are killing the American dream. Hair stylists, doctors, chefs, bartenders, and countless other small business owners are facing the prospect of losing their life’s work.
Karl Manke has been cutting hair in Owosso, Michigan, for 53 years. But when the 77-year-old reopened his barber shop, local officials fined him. When he refused to stand down, they pulled his license.
Lindsey Graham owns a salon in Salem, Oregon. When she decided to reopen her business, bureaucrats in the state’s OSHA office came up with a bogus reason to fine her $14,000. Even worse, Child Protective Services came to her home, harassed her and her husband, and interviewed her 3-year-old when she wasn’t present.
There are thousands like Karl and Lindsey, and we won’t stand by and watch it any longer.
On Friday, May 22, the lockdowns are ending. We’re calling on all Americans to Stand Up to unconstitutional lockdown orders, Open Up their businesses, and Show Up to patronize those businesses on what we’re calling “Freedom Friday!”
