In July, we shared with you the news of Venezuela’s presidential election and how the international community strongly denounced the results, accusing the incumbent of electoral fraud.
The incumbent president, socialist authoritarian Nicolás Maduro, claimed victory with 51% of the vote… even though independent polls showed him losing by at least 30 points.
Maduro’s opponent in that election was supposed to be María Corina Machado…
…until he banned her from running for office.
Ms. Machado is now sharing with us her story about how she and her allies are still standing for a future of freedom and prosperity for Venezuela, despite Maduro’s brutal repression.
