John, the water companies have decided what they want for Christmas... To be bailed out of their debts by you and me. And believe it or not, the government might just let them do this. 🤬

Sign our petition to Ban the Bailouts and stand against these profiteering polluters. ✊

We know it’s that time of year when your mind is more likely to be on mince pies and mulled wine, rather than sewage pollution. But this is urgent.

Yesterday, MPs met in Parliament to debate amendments to the new Water (Special Measures) Bill. Despite the good intentions behind the bill, measures within it could allow water companies to hike their prices up to recoup the cost of their debts. That means forcing the public into a bailout-by-stealth.

We’re working flat-out behind the scenes to force MPs to dump this dangerous clause. But we need your support to show them this is serious.

There is nothing more unfair than what the water industry lobbyists are trying to push through right now. For years, shareholders and CEOs have been making vast profits while infrastructure has crumbled and more and more sewage has been dumped into our seas, lakes and rivers.

It’s time that parliament stands up to these corrupt corporations, once and for all. Hit the button below to sign our petition demanding that the government Ban the Bailouts.
