Here’s how you can increase the value of your monthly contribution and help power our campaigns

John, I'mwriting to you with an urgent request. As Greenpeace UK’s Fundraising Director, it’s my job to crunch the numbers and see how much we’ve raised this year. To be honest, the results aren’t what I’d hoped for – that's why I’m speaking to you today.

We’re behind on Greenpeace supporters for the year. If we don’t make up the shortfall, it could impact our campaigns for years to come. So I’ve been looking for ways to bridge the gap – and I’m pleased to say we’ve got a plan! But it’ll only work with your help.

If we sign up 941 new Greenpeace supporters by the end of the year, a generous supporter agreed to match your first monthly contribution. Join Greenpeace today to double your impact!

This is a huge opportunity to double your impact and power our vital campaigns – but it runs out in three weeks’ time. John, I don't ask this lightly, but will you please consider becoming a Greenpeace supporter today? Help us protect the natural world and fight for a liveable planet.

I know lots of organisations ask people to chip in at this time of year. But unlike many others, Greenpeace doesn't accept funding from government or corporations – our campaigns rely on people like you generously giving what they can. And that’s hugely important because it allows us to stay independent, to make bold decisions.

In the past 12 months, our supporters have helped fund some incredible work:

- United 200,000 people across the UK to secure a government that cares about the climate
- Supported a landmark Supreme Court ruling that could stop future fossil fuel projects from going ahead
- Securing a European Nature Restoration Law to protect biodiversity hotspots
- Helped us fight a multi-million dollar intimidation lawsuit from Shell

None of this would have been possible without people like you. Your monthly contributions help us expose harm that’s being done to our planet, and secure tangible protections for people and nature.

John, a generous donor will match your contribution if you sign up today! Will you be one of the kind individuals who helps power our work? We need 941 people to set up a monthly contribution this year, so we can continue our fight for a greener, fairer future and unlock £15,000 in additional funds.

We’ve got big plans for 2025, and we need you with us. Together we’ll push the UK government to deliver fairer, more sustainable policies. But we’re only as strong as the people by our side – so join today and help us win a better future.

Thanks for all you do,

Melanie McNeill

Fundraising Director, Greenpeace UK

P.S. We understand these are challenging times, and not everyone can give right now. Your support – whether through spreading the word, taking action, or simply being part of our community – means so much to us. But if you are in a position to contribute financially today, your generosity will help ensure we can continue building impactful campaigns for a greener, fairer future. And remember, your contribution will be matched: [link removed]

We don't accept any money from companies or governments so we can be independent and challenge anyone who threatens the planet or peace. To help us keep fighting climate change, defending our oceans and protecting ancient forests, you can become a monthly supporter today: [link removed] Thank you.
