At 26, LaShae was a PhD candidate studying cancer prevention. She never imagined she'd face her own breast cancer diagnosis at such a young age.
 
Beyond the emotional and physical challenges, LaShae feared losing her dream of motherhood. Life-saving treatments threatened her fertility, and her insurance didn’t cover preservation. Enter Livestrong Fertility: providing discounted preservation services and free medications, ensuring LaShae didn't have to give up the hope of being a mom.

Last month, LaShae was officially declared cancer free, ringing the bell with joy. As she continues her studies, the work is more meaningful than ever. "You're a lot more passionate knowing it's going to directly impact you," she said.
