Proposed 2020 Census delays would have a significant impact on redistricting timelines. We need Congress to immediately allocate additional funding to support the Census Bureau's efforts to collect and process census data.

Congress is back in session and currently considering the HEROES Act. Now is the time to contact your senators to tell them you support additional funding for the 2020 Census.

Every state will be impacted by these delays -- but states holding off-year state legislative elections, states with constitutional deadlines for passing maps, and states with redistricting commissions will be hit the hardest. With additional funding, the Census Bureau will have a better chance of minimizing impacts in such states.

We're calling on Congress to take action now to address the impacts of census timeline delays. Tell your members of Congress to support additional funding for the 2020 Census.
