John, I’m a red-tailed hawk here with an invitation: Will you fly with me above Sonoma Coast Redwoods?

My friends at Save the Redwoods League are working hard to raise the remaining funds needed to purchase and protect Sonoma Coast Redwoods, and I know you’d want to help if you could see what I see:

As a red-tailed hawk riding the thermals, my eyes are trained on the golden grasslands, seeking Sonoma tree voles and rabbits among the rich ecosystem that calls this land home.

Flying alongside me, you might find your gaze drawn toward the infinite horizon, the glittering Pacific crashing against the California coastline. You might notice historic Fort Ross to the north and Jenner, Bodega Bay, and Point Reyes to the south.

I love to build my nest in the majestic crown of an old-growth giants. The redwood saplings growing strong below the canopy will offer nesting spots for future generations of raptors like me.
